The Mary Luck Tales
Synopsis
It’s 1984 in the small remote coal mining town of Mary Luck in Eastern KY. A trio of friends stumble upon the town elders A.K.A. “The Yarn Spinners”, telling tales that once drew eye-winks and jests, now sending chills down their backs. Ruby Lee Collins and her best friends Willie Joe and Vera Sue will devise a plan to eavesdrop on these men. What they find out by listening to these tales is that Mary Luck isn’t as innocent as it once seemed. Terrible things have happened in the past and they link back to one person. Baby Annie, the notorious witch of Rattlesnake Holler who was said to have cursed the town as she burned at the stake one hundred years before. As Ruby Lee turns thirteen she comes into her own powers and through pure chance is able to open a door to the otherside, allowing Baby Annie to seep back into Mary Luck where she will wreak havoc by causing fear and grief. Ruby Lee will have to channel every ounce of her power as a white witch, along with the love of her friends and camaraderie of the whole town in order to face off against a witch with a grudge. In the end, on Halloween night, the scales must be balanced once and for all. The ancient crux of good versus evil will play out, but who will win?
